Did you know that Burgess chairs are actually designed to be stored in different ways?
This is so each piece is protected, safely stored and lasts for many years to come.
The two options to store our chairs are either frame stacking or seat stacking. Here’s the difference between the two, so you know how to look after and correctly store your Burgess chairs when not in use:
Frame stacking: For maximum upholstery protection
Frame stacking chairs have special features built into the frame, which not only offers safe stacking but added protection for each chair’s fabric, too.
Through clever discreet design features in the frame such as stacking buffers – those tiny buttons you may spot on the chair legs – the only contact between each stacked chair is the frame itself.
Frame stacking chairs in the Burgess range include Adamas, Cello, Como, ComfortFlex, Fiora, Flair and Siena-Allday™. We also advise frame stacking when you select a soft pile or delicate upholstery, like velvet, for your new furniture.
This prevents any unintentional damage to the fabric from stacking and storage.
Seat stacking: For a streamlined look
The biggest advantage of seat stacking is the clean, sleek look it allows – a great choice if you’re not a fan of stacking buffers. The seat cushion of a seat stacking chair also stretches to the edge of the seat, minimising visible frame.
With seat stacking chairs you simply stack the chair directly on the seat of the chair below. Seat stacking chairs are designed a certain way, to ensure that the stack remains stable at all times.
This type of stacking system is used for Burgess chairs such as Evosa, Simbia and Tiani, which can all be safely stored seat-to-seat without affecting the chair’s durability, longevity and performance.
