The Marriott in Amsterdam (followed soon after by Berlin) was the very first property within the Marriott portfolio to introduce a new generation of meeting spaces. When casual meeting and more traditional meeting sometimes now cohabite together in one room, when ways to meet have changed drastically over the last decade, the need to bring in some casual seating pieces into spaces has arose. That’s when soft seating pieces were introduced in the meeting environment. Burgess furniture did a fantastic job with this piece bringing to life some great meeting spaces in Amsterdam.

We supplied some vibrant Sentrum chairs and armchairs which give superb comfort from its built-in webbed seat base, the Sentrum features a tapered chromed steel frame which is covered with an innovative knitted stretch mesh fabric. The look was completed with our latest addition to our Burgess Table range: the meet u table, designed by Broome Jenkins with the user in mind.  The meet u table offers a variety of top shapes including rectangles, squares, triangles and quadrants link together to form the perfect layout for any meeting room environment. The full range of tables can be further complemented by bridging units, minimising the number of table legs needed and so allowing more people to sit in total comfort around the table layout. The Marriott Amsterdam ordered a few variances and shapes to make them work together in an incredibly contemporary meeting space.
